FTC Disclosure

FTC regulations state that I must advise you that most of the books featured on this blog are donated by their authors for promotional purposes, i.e., for contest giveaways and Random Freebies. This is a good thing, because I couldn't afford to buy them all just to give them away, and you'd miss out on some great books.

Most appearances are by invitation only (I asked, they said yes). Occasionally, they ask, I say yes. No one, including my own publisher, tells me who to invite (although fellow authors may suggest potential hosts), and I think we're all happier that way.

That being the case, rest assured that no one is paying me to say nice things. Honest. I do it because I like the authors, their books, or a combination thereof, and I want them to be able to write more. If I talk about them here, and you talk about them elsewhere, more people will buy their books and then, you know, they'll get to write more.

I don't review books, nor accept books for review purposes in exchange for a favorable review, but you bet your sweet bippy if I read a book I like, I'm either going to invite the author on IMHO and probably go fan-girl on her, or I will tell you that I read her book and liked it and strongly recommend it to you. Because you want to know that sort of thing. Readers do.

It's an evil plan, but it's all mine. Mwa-ha-ha.
