Yay, TJ, I was just over at the site and saw it! Readers get to judge in this one, too.
Congratulations, TJ!!
Hope you win!

Thanks, all! I love that both readers and booksellers get to judge this contest. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, because it would be a real honor to win. And I recognize a lot of the finalist names, and it's a great crowd to be nominated with.

Congratulations, Gayle. Best of luck.
I think the idea of a book being based on a historical event makes the "idea" for the book more intriguing. For me, I enjoy more "real life" ideas...things that aren't too far fetched. I like to know "it could happen." So, when I read a book and it even has some basis for an event...it makes me want to learn more when I'm finished reading...am I talking too much by the way? Well, anyway...I love the small bit of "real history" thrown in. :)
Hey, Ami, you're not talking too much at all. I do want to let you know that your comments are showing up under the wrong posts. You'll want to make sure hit the comment link under the post related to the topic you want to address. This is only important if you are playing for the gift basket. I store those comments under a separate file on my computer, and that is where I pull the eligible contest names from. Sooo...just wanted to let you know.
Thanks to everyone for your congratulations, by the way! Appreciate it.
