A sad loss for the romance industry: Kate Duffy, RIP
(Image from author ShaneGericke.com's site)
News comes that Kate Duffy, Kensington editor and staunch supportor of romance, both books and authors, has died. Read the lovely tribute to her over at the SBTB site.
I can't believe this is true. I don't want it to be true. Kate and I shared a shuttle at RT 08. She really resonated with me, if that makes sense (and if you've met Kate, I'm sure it does).
Yes, I had the chance to sit in on a workshop of hers once and spoke briefly to her afterward. She was larger than life, sharp as a razor, and loved romance and romance authors. She was also terrifying, but in a good way. She'll be missed.

Always sad to loose someone who has done so much for the industry.
It's very sad. From everything I've read she contributed immensly to the industry.
